Camra’s top local real ale pubs

The Campaign for Real Ale (Camra) has published the details of its top 150 local real ale pubs.

These local pubs have been selected by Camra’s local branch members, who vote on the pub’s customer service, value for money, decor, customer mix, atmosphere and, of course, the quality of the beer.

The majority of these pubs will now move forward to Camra’s Regional Pub of the Year competition, which is announced in September. The winner of that award will then be in with a chance of winning Camra’s National Pub of the Year, which will be announced in February 2014.

Mike Benner, Camra’s chief executive, said: “These winning pubs have been voted the best in their local areas by the local Camra members and are examples of the kind of well run and valued community pubs we hope to see more of throughout the UK.”
