Boisset release 15-litre bottle of Clos Blanc
Domaine de la Vougeraie has bottled its first ever Nebuchadnezzar, which is destined for London’s Hedonism Wines.
Domaine de la Vougeraie’s Clos Blanc is a monopole for Chardonnay surrounded by Pinot Noir vineyards
The first format of its kind from Boisset’s biodynamic Burgundy domaine will contain the Clos Blanc de Vougeot, a monopole Chardonnay vineyard adjacent to the Château du Clos de Vougeot.
Surrounded by Pinot Noir vineyards, the Clos Blanc is known as “The White Vineyard”, and consequently Boisset compare it to a diamond set among rubies.
The bottle, which contains the equivalent of 20 standard bottles, or 15 litres, is destined for Hedonism Wines, the new fine wine boutique in the heart of Mayfair which specialises in large formats.
Boisset note that the Nebuchadnezzar weights 10.2 kilos empty and 25.4 kilos when filled.
It will serve 120 people and comes in a specially constructed wooden crate.
Boisset has yet to release its retail price.
