Tim Stillwell was told by Lord Sugar that his team “couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery”.

The television show pits two teams against each other at a range of different tasks, last night the teams were require to make as much profit as they could from selling beer.

Stillwell led his team and decided to try to sell a rhubarb and caramel beer. Stillwell’s team, named Evolve, made a profit of £399.02, but this was dwarfed by the opposing team, Endeavour, who made £831.56.

Evolve decided to sell its beer at a Kent Beer Festival, but this turned out to be based in a small pub, which was ultimately the team’s downfall.

In appraising the team’s performance Lord Sugar added: “I’m sitting here thinking to myself, you’re all a bloody waste of space at the moment. I mean, the basic fundamentals; counting, calculations, locations, where you going to sell. These are elementary things.

“I’ve never seen such a bloody mess in the first two weeks of this process, as I have seen today.”

He told Stillwell: “Tim you have been honest and accepted responsibility, you’re a young man and you’ve got a lot of enthusiasm.”

But Lord Sugar added that he had no option but to fire Stillwell from the show.

Afterwards Stillwell said that he would carry on in spite of this setback, he said: “You haven’t seen the last of me. This new drinks business will be launching, so watch out.”
