Record entries for Scotch Whisky Masters
The Spirits Business Scotch Whisky Masters 2013 is set to be the biggest yet, with a record number of entries, and over a week remaining before the deadline.
The annual competition recognises the best Scotch whiskies in their field and is known throughout the spirits industry as one of the finest spirits medal competitions in the world.
The wide-ranging Masters event will see a panel of judges from all aspects of the industry gather to judge the record number of entries. Categories include Blends, Speyside, Highlands & Islands, Islay and Lowland. The judges will also be looking at various age ranges within these different regions.
Own label whiskies and design and packaging will also be judged.
A Silver, Gold and Master will be awarded in each category with the Gold and Master award in each category going forward for the ultimate award of Scotch Whisky Master 2013.
The Spirits Business is still accepting entries for the competition up until 7 May 2013, with the judging taking place in a London location on 14 May.
