Leading Champagne figures descended on London for the Champagne Bureau’s trade and media annual tasting. In less than 24 hours, over 65 brands showcased over 200 cuvées with over 5,000 bottles of Champagne being uncorked at the Banqueting House on the day.

Scottish brewers BrewDog posted this picture on its Facebook page, writing: “#BrewPix Bowman’s checking out the latest batch of Cocoa Psycho today ready for dispatch very soon…who’s hungry for some chocolatey goodness?”.

One of only 12 hand crafted and individually numbered Penfolds Ampoules is unveiled at Dubai Duty Free, where it is now available to view and buy. The unique work of wine, which retails for £100,000 will be showcased in Dubai Duty Free in Concourse A, which opened in January and is dedicated to the Emirates A380 fleet.

Nightjar mixologist Luca makes The Waldorf Gloomlifter at the Auschentoshan Switch competition, which will see two bartenders “switch” continents, for a working stint at a top bar in London and New York City.

Martin Ball, the winner of last year’s Auchentoshan Switch competition, mixes his winning cocktail from last year, the M’Auchentoshan. The Auchentoshan Switch competition is open to all licensed bartenders in the UK, Germany, Sweden, the US and Canada.

Sushi from the new Japanese restaurant K10, which opened in London’s Liverpool Street this week. As well as the sushi seen here, the restaurant also sells a range of junmai ginjo sakés.

Opium’s mixologist crafted a trio of cocktails using La Hechicera during the masterclass, including one featuring ginger and lemongrass, which proved the favourite.

Behind the scenes with comedy duo Alexander Armstrong and Ben Miller as they work on the new marketing campaign for Spitfire Ale. The brand announced a two-year promotional deal with the pair earlier this week.

Armit Wines posted this photograph on Twitter which shows its Italian wine tasting “in full swing” at the Worshipful Company of Haberdashers in London.

Inter Rhône presented an emergency budget kit to each attendee at the annual Inter Rhône Trade Day today…

So George Osborne had better watch out…

    That must work out at about 10 bottles per visitor.
