db launch Fortified Masters 2013
the drinks business is proud to announce the launch of the first ever Fortified Masters.
The competition will be split into five categories: Port, Red Fortified, Sherry, Solera-aged Fortified and Others.
From the well-established Port and Sherry houses of the Iberian Peninsula to the cutting-edge styles and expressions from South Africa, Australia and the US, the Fortified Masters will bring together a wide-range of fortifieds from around the world.
A panel of leading industry specialists, including on- and off-trade buyers, restaurateurs, MWs and category experts will judge the wines submitted in a blind tasting to discover the best in each of the categories.
Each wine will be evaluated on its own merit awarding it a Bronze, Silver, Gold or Master medal. With no limit on the number of medals in any given category, no two wines will be vying for the top slot against each other.
