Champagne celebration for Leeds boss
Leeds United manager Neil Warnock said he would celebrate his team’s surprise win over Tottenham Hotspur with some Champagne.
Warnock’s team, who currently play in The Championship, pulled off a 2-1 win over Premier League Tottenham when the two sides met in the FA Cup.
Leeds took a 2-0 lead in Sunday’s clash at Elland Road, before Tottenham pulled a goal back to set up a tense finish to the match. But Leeds held on for the win and will now play the Premier League Champions, Manchester City, in the fifth round.
After the match Warnock said: “I’ll probably open a bottle of Champagne tonight and have a few little tipples.
“I’m sure I’ll be able to do something like that. I might even treat myself to a bag of crisps.”
Warnock added: “It’s a fabulous day for everybody. I really enjoyed the match. We didn’t get anything other than what we deserved today and we had a few chances as well.
“It was a typical FA Cup game. They were like that when I was a kid.”
