From Kim Kardashian to Queen Elizabeth II, here’s a look at the favourite drinks of some of the world’s most famous people.

Whether it is a white Russian or glass of Sapporo, celebrities enjoy some very different drinks. Who do you think enjoys a gin and Dubonnet with a slice of lemon with the pips removed? Can you guess who lists a pomegranate Martini as their favourite drink?

This is a slightly more cheery list than our rogue’s gallery of despots and their drinks, which we featured recently.

Queen Elizabeth II

In a television documentary it was made known that the Queen’s favourite drink is gin and Dubonnet, which she likes served with two cubes of ice and a slice of lemon with the pips removed. After the documentary was broadcast sales of the sweet, wine-based aperitif are reported to have soared.

JK Rowling

The famous author of the Harry Potter series could have claimed that Butterbeer was her favourite drink, but that is simply a drink of fiction. Rowling’s favourite is a classic that can’t really be faulted – gin and tonic.

Simon Cowell

The pop music mogul reportedly suffers from certain food intolerances and so the Japanese yeast-free beer Sapporo is his favourite drink.

Kim Kardashian

Arguably one of the world’s most famous people at the moment, Kardashian is not a huge drinker, but is said to enjoy sipping a white Russian when she does have a drink.

Bono

The U2 frontman and all-round equality campaigner does show that he’s not totally given up on the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle, listing Jack Daniels as his favourite drink.

Madonna

Is Madonna still the queen of pop? She’s still a global superstar and recently enjoyed a sell-out world tour. It is quite possible that she will have indulged herself in her favourite drink of a pomegranate Martini while touring.

Johnny Depp

One of Hollywood’s highest paid actors of 2012, Depp is reported to have earned around US$30m this year. With all that cash he’ll be able to enjoy his fair share of Bourbon sour, his favourite tipple.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt

One half of one of Hollywood’s most famous couples Angelina Jolie is another celebrity who doesn’t drink a huge amount, but when she does you can’t argue with her favourite: Tequila. She is also a big fan of tea. Pitt lists his favourite drinks as beer, coffee and Mountain Dew. We don’t think that’s a cocktail though.

Jennifer Aniston

Aniston shot to fame as one of the gang of Friends from the ’90s sit-com, where lots of wine and coffee was enjoyed. The Hollywood A-lister says that a margarita is her favourite drink.

Jay-Z and Beyonce

A giant from the world of rap and hip-hop music and a favourite of New York, Jay-Z, who is married to Beyonce, is a big fan of Armand de Brignac Champagne. Beyonce is also said to be a fan of the drink, but, like the aforementioned Aniston, she enjoys margaritas too.
