Sparkling Australian Vinni hits the supermarkets
Low alcohol, wine-based drink is now available in Sainsbury’s and Tesco.
Vinni, which makers Australian Vintage describes as being for people, “who like a little less alcohol, but a lot more fizz”, has hit the supermarket shelves this week.
The drink is made from Moscato grapes, which come from New South Wales and it is available in a 568ml glass crown seal bottle, “designed to attract a new and younger audience to the wine category”.
Julian Dyer, general manager, Australian Vintage for UK and Europe, said: “Vinni is a departure for Australian Vintage and one which we are very excited about.”
“We have put a lot of work into the quality of the Moscato that goes into the bottle in order to give consumers the best possible drinking experience. We believe that this lighter, less alcoholic wine-based product will open up a whole new avenue for wine, appealing to younger audiences who perhaps have not tried it before.”
Earlier in October db reported that Australian Vintage had only decided to launch Vinni after addressing quality concerns about low alcohol wines.
