World’s largest bottle of whisky is a step closer
A specially created 200 litre glass bottle arrives in Scotland this week, as a distillery bids to break the record for creating the world’s largest bottle of whisky.
The Famous Grouse are planning to enter the Guinness Book of World Records with the largest bottle ever produced when the massive bottle is filled on 12 August – the brand’s birthday.
According to the company the bottle was in Prague over the weekend where Czech glass manufacturers BOMMA, is based.
The bottle, five feet and five inches tall, will hold the equivalent of 8,000 drams of whisky and will be an exact replica of The Famous Grouse iconic bottle.
The Famous Grouse is aiming to take the current record from Jack Daniel’s who entered into the Guinness Book of World Records last year by producing a 184 litre bottle.
