All of my guests would be from ancient history – I’d invite one of the Knights of the Round Table, one of the 12th century Christian Cathars from the Languedoc – they were very advanced people who left a poetic and artistic legacy. I’d also invite one of the Knights Templar and would serve them Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Romanée-Conti 1947 and Cascina degli Ulivi Monuvé Barbera from Piedmont.

Well doesn’t this guy make you feel all warm and fuzzy!

  2. Greg Love says:

So, Nicolas Joly thinks he is going to serve 1947 Romanee Conti at his mythical dinner party?????

Let us hope he did not buy his stock of 1947 Romanee Conti from Hardy Rodenstock or Rudy Kurwanian, as he may need a big refund. Just as well it’s a mythical party, as Domaine de la Romanee Conti grubbed up the whole Romanee Conti parcel after the 1945 vintage and Romanee Conti was not released again until 1952.

  3. dreamer says:

    it’s a fictional dinner party as he’s a bit of a dreamer
