Beer drinkers more likely to have sex on first date
Both men and women who drink beer are 60% more likely to sleep with someone early in a relationship, an online dating website claims.
After analysing the profiles and interactions of millions of users, Christian Rudder, a Harvard graduate who set up dating website OKCupid found that beer-drinking was the most useful indicator of whether people are likely to have casual sex.
OkCupid is the biggest free dating site in the US and it went went online in 2004. The site stated a blog in July 2009 as a way to share some of the information they have collected about dating.
“Whether someone likes the taste of beer is the single best predictor of if he or she has sex on the first date,” the Oktrends blog reports under the title ‘The best questions to ask on a first date.”
“No matter their gender or orientation, beer-lovers are 60% more likely to be okay with sleeping with someone they’ve just met. Sadly, this is the only question with a meaningful correlation for women.”
