PR manager Anne Howarth dies
The drinks business is sad to report the death of Anne Howarth, former PR manager at Cockburn & Campbell.
Having trained as a lawyer, Anne abandoned the profession to lend her skills to the wine industry.
After a period working in Paris, she joined Corney & Barrow before a stint in Burgundy working for Olivier Leflaive. Anne then returned to the UK once more to take up her position at Cockburn & Campbell, the wine merchant which became part of Wells & Young’s brewery business in 2006.
An accredited WSET tutor, Anne was also a former president of Women in PR.
Her funeral is due to take place on 30 May at 12 noon in St James’s Church, Alveston, near Stratford upon Avon, CV37 7QJ. This will be followed by a celebration of Anne’s life at The Baraset Barn.
Anyone wishing to organise flowers or make a charity donation to the Spinal Injuries Association in Anne’s memory should send these to the funeral directors AE Bennett & Sons, 34 Sheep Street, Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire, CV37 6EE.
If you would like to attend the funeral, or for further information, please contact Alison Jee on +44 (0)20 8744 0744 or Michelle Angear on +44 (0)7595 906015
