Laithwaite’s Wine to roll out new branding
Independent wine merchant Laithwaite’s Wine has secured a sponsorship agreement from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) that will make it an “Official Partner of the England Cricket Team”.
The two-year agreement will see Laithwaite’s promoting its wines at all of England’s international matches on home turf, including the next Ashes series.
England’s fixture against the West Indies at Lord’s in the 1st Investec Test Match (May 17-21) is the first Laithwaite’s Wine-sponsored match.
It also marks the occasion when the company unveils its new logo and advertising campaign that forms part of a strategic re-positioning that the company has been working towards with its integrated creative agency, VCCP.
Alongside the new logo and advertising, the agency has also developed a completely new look and feel for the brand that will be rolled out over the coming months and used across all marketing materials, in-store and online.
Commenting on the new branding, Laithwaite’s managing director, Glenn Caton comments: “We’re aiming to make our brand more friendly, entertaining and accommodating while remaining an accessible and personal guide to the often-confusing world of wine.”
Speaking about the agreement with the ECB, Caton continues, “This sponsorship agreement gives us the perfect opportunity to showcase our diverse range of wines and our new branding to an audience that’s the ideal demographic fit for our business.”
The ECB sponsorship agreement will see Laithwaite’s Wine branding displayed throughout each match across perimeter boards, big screens, at wine retail stations, on tickets, online and in match programmes at venues across the country including the Kia Oval, Trent Bridge, Edgbaston and Old Trafford.
