Enotria and Waitrose win big at DB Awards
Waitrose, Enotria and Phipps PR were the standout winners at The Drinks Business Awards 2012, which were announced at a ceremony at the London International Wine Fair .
Celebrating their 9th year the awards were presented in front of a large crowd of industry representatives.
The audience were treated to Freixenet’s top end Elyssia label, while Ty Nant provided the still and sparkling water.
Big winners on the event were Waitrose who scooped the highly contested retailer of the year award and were also runners up in the retail buying team of the year category which was won by Laithwaites Wine.
Enotria also had a memorable Drinks Business Awards 2012 as Alison Levett was awarded the prestigious woman of the year award and the company also collected the on-trade supplier of the year award.
Proving that creativity in the wine trade is alive and well, E&J Gallo walked away with the best consumer campaign for its The Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project and the best launch award for Summer Red.
The best PR company went to Phipps PR, while the man of the year was Sir George Fistonich of Villa Maria Estate who couldn’t be at the ceremony but sent a message of thanks via video.
