Ocado launches wine videos

Online retailer Ocado has launched a series of short wine videos by Master Sommelier Ronan Sayburn, director of wine at the Hotel du Vin group.

Running through April, the three films – sponsored by the I Love Natural Cork campaign – feature useful tips and simple information on cellaring, selecting and serving wine.

“More than 95,000 fans worldwide are now signed up to our cork Facebook pages, voicing their preference for natural cork stoppers, ” commented Carlos de Jesus, executive director of the APCOR generic campaign.

“So it makes sense to link with the UK’s only dedicated online supermarket to develop that dialogue, and engage with consumers wanting to know more about wine.

“After all, the whole Ocado philosophy is structured around a greener and more sustainable way of doing business, just like the cork industry.”

At the recent drinks business green awards 2012, Amorim sponsored the Environmental Award of the Year, which was won by Avondale.
