500 cases of Royal Tokaji stolen
Over 500 cases of Royal Tokaji have been stolen from a lorry near the Dartford Tunnel.
The theft is thought to have occurred overnight on the 19/20 February.
The stock included the following wines: Royal Tokaji Dry Furmint 2010; Royal Tokaji Late Harvest 2009; Royal Tokaji Blue Label 2007 Aszú 5 Puttonyos 250ml & 500ml; Royal Tokaji Gold Label 2006 and 2007 Aszú 6 Puttonyos; Betsek 2005 6 Puttonyos Aszú; Mézes Mály 2005 6 Puttonyos Aszú and Mézes Mály Dry Furmint 2009.
Essex police are investigating the theft. A statement released by Royal Tokaji asks anyone who is offered wine from an unusual source to report it immediately to Charlie Mount at charliemount@royal-tokaji.com
