Jayer wines to be auctioned in HK
Wines released from the cellars of Henri Jayer are to be sold by Christie’s in Hong Kong next month.
Featuring rare vintages, the 102 lots include bottles of Nuits St Georges and Vosne-Romanée.
Taking place on 10 February, notable lots include three bottles of Richebourg 1978 with a high estimate of HK$500,000 and a case of Vosne-Romanée premier cru Cros Parantoux with a high estimate of HK$1 million.
Charles Curtis, head of wine for Asia at Christie’s, said: “Henri Jayer is among the most mythical names in Burgundy, and his wines are among the most sought-after (and expensive) in the world.
“This is a sale of historic dimension featuring wines of perfect provenance and condition, a unique opportunity to purchase wines of extraordinary rarity that will never be repeated again.”
