Naomi Watts becomes face of Jacob’s Creek
British actress Naomi Watts has been made the face of Jacob’s Creek.
Known for her roles in King Kong and David Lynch’s Mulholland Drive, the Kent-born star has been appointed international ambassador for the Australian wine brand’s Cool Harvest range.
Watts, who has two sons with American actor Liev Schreiber, told the Australian Daily Telegraph that wine plays an “important” part in her life.
“I’ve got a beautiful beach house in Long Island where friends come and stay for the weekend. We cook together, play lots of games and the wine comes out; it’s a very important ingredient to the weekend,” she said.
Though born in England, Watts moved to Sydney aged 14, finding fame in 1991 in the popular Australian soap Home and Away.
Earlier this month, Jacob’s Creek began bottling its “Classic” range in the UK for the first time as part of the group’s commitment to environmental issues.
I’m sure this will boost sales of Jacob Creek no end.
