Up-and-coming chef in new pop-up venture
Ex-Noma chef Tom Sellers has joined up with The Rebel Dining Society in a new London pop-up restaurant.
The 40-cover “Foreword” will run for only two days this week and is a preface to Sellers’ own restaurant, Story, opening next year.
The venue will be based on Vyner Street in a converted Victorian chapel in Bethnal Green, opening today (Monday 28 November) and closing tomorrow.
The menu includes beef cheek with pumpkin seed, brown butter and sorrel and charred pear with parsnip and buttermilk. Tickets are priced at £70 per person for five courses with a cocktail on arrival and wine with the meal.
Sellers is touted as one of the new talents of the London restaurant scene. As well as having worked for Rene Redzepi at Noma, the 24 year old has worked with Tom Aikens, Thomas Keller and Adam Byatt.
Byatt commented: “Tom is a driven individual who has been exposed to some of the world’s greatest kitchens. He has all the necessary ingredients to allow him to rise to the top of his chosen profession.”
