Smirnoff celebrates city nightlife
Smirnoff is introducing new limited edition bottles based on the nightlife of four of the world’s biggest party locations.
The four designs are designed to reflect the atmosphere and culture of their particular city and carry recipes for cocktails associated with them on the sleeve.
The world’s biggest vodka has selected Australian Lime, Lemon and Bitters to represent Australia with its “relaxed, warm and welcoming atmosphere”, while the Brazil Capiroska is based on the “city of the Samba”, Rio de Janeiro.
London Collins has a “refined” bottle that aims to give a sense of London’s clubbing scene and finally The Cosmo symbolises New York’s identity as the sleepless city.
The promotion is part of the Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project, started last year, which aims to swap or “cross-pollinate” the world’s best nightlife.
Describing the appearance of the bottles, Smirnoff said that the Australian bottle is “sun-drenched and welcoming’, while The Cosmo gives a sense of New York’s “gritty city streets”.
“We searched the globe for the most exciting locations known for their nightlife and chose four that stood out for having unique, unforgettable and vibrant nightlife” said Simon Burch, global brand director for Smirnoff.
He added: “The limited edition bottles represent these locations in design and inspiration for the signature drink that accompanies them.”
The Australian bottle is to be made available exclusively in Australia, but the additional three designs will be available at select retail stores and duty free shops worldwide from this month.
