LCB secures Freixenet contract
London City Bond has secured a contract to provide warehousing and distribution for Freixenet.
Having recorded volume growth of 39% in September (Nielsen MAT 3.9.2011), the company was looking for a distribution partner that could meet the growing demands of its business.
Freixenet’s sparkling and still wine portfolio will now be based at LCB’s Barking warehouse.
Heather Langridge, logistics manager for Freixenet, said: “With business growing at such pace, we were really looking for a logistics partner who could provide us with the total logistics solution and the necessary flexibility required to meet the demands of our customers. London City Bond’s high levels of customer service is also very much in line with our own.”
Jeff Stanton, non-executive chairman at London City Bond, added: “Our contract win with Freixenet comes at an exciting time as we look to expand our customer base nationally as part of our ongoing growth plan.
“Our Barking depot is ideally located to service the South East, and through our extensive transport network we are able to offer the highest quality service across the whole of the UK.”
