Trapiche at the UK Annual Tasting
Located at the foothills of Los Andes, Trapiche is one of the world’s best- known Argentinean wine brands, currently exporting 1.5 million cases to more than 90 countries.
Its internationally-awarded wines represent the best of Argentinean terroir.
With over 1000 ha of Trapiche-owned vineyards and 200 independents producers who take advantage of the diverse soils and climates of Mendoza, Trapiche is the perfect expression of Argentina’s diversity.
Trapiche’s chief winemaker, Daniel Pi, who will be attending the UK Annual Tasting held in London on 14 September, said: “Argentina is all about diversity, especially diversity of terroir, which places a lot of importance on viticulture.
“Throughout history, no-one has understood this better than Trapiche. In order to create exceptional wines, we have specialized in obtaining the best from every site.
“Thanks to the diversity of terroirs in Argentina, we are able to produce exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Bonarda and Torrontés wines. Customers are very receptive to these, proving there is more to Argentina than Malbec.”
Pi will present the new 2008 vintage of Trapiche’s most successful range, Trapiche Malbec Single Vineyard, at this year’s UK Annual Tasting.
Pi will be also presenting the new 2005 vintage of Trapiche’s iconic wine, Trapiche Manos Malbec.
The name “Manos”, which means hands in Spanish, is a tribute to the hands of Trapiche’s people, who are key players in the handcrafted production of this Malbec.
