New managing director for Pernod Ricard UK
Denis O’Flynn has been named as the new managing director of Pernod Ricard UK.
Effective as of 17 October, O’Flynn – currently managing director of Irish Distillers – will report to Pernod Ricard Europe’s CEO, Laurent Lacassagne.
Having joined Pernod Ricard from Diageo in 1998, O’Flynn was appointed commercial director Ireland for Irish Distillers in 2010 and has been managing director since July of this year.
His speedy redeployment came after the previous appointee to the UK post, David de Mardt, announced he would be retiring from the company due to “family reasons”.
Lacassagne has been running Pernod Ricard UK in the interim period.
It was also announced that, as of 1 November, John Leburn, currently finance and development director at Pernod Ricard UK, will become chief financial officer for Corby Distilleries in Canada.
Also effective from 1 November is the appointment of Julia Massies who will assume full responsibility for finance at Pernod Ricard UK and report directly to O’Flynn.
