Bibendum to host midnight tasting for London on-trade
Bibendum is to host its first late night tasting for restaurant customers and independent merchants.
The event on Tuesday 20 September is designed to fit in with the busy daytime schedules of shop owners and sommeliers.
Held at 33 Portland Place, the wines will be served alongside a midnight feast.
Bibendum’s director of sales for London, John Graves, said: “We have had a fantastic response to this idea from sommeliers and other trade customers across the capital.
“The combination of outstanding wines, a brilliant venue and a time of day that suits restaurant and shop hours is clearly a winning one,” he added.
Wines on show will include Champagne Bruno Paillard, Vietti, Château St Cosme and Petaluma as well as a selection of 30 great value wines that can be sold by the on-trade for under £30.
Doors open at 9pm and close at 1am but there will also be an afternoon session open from midday until 5pm.
