New look db site goes live
We’ve spent the last few months refining and augmenting our digital offering to make ourselves prettier to look at and easier to navigate.
Don’t worry though, our mix of original and in-depth news and views will remain, but we’ve added to it with more quick-reference material, improved the categorisation of stories and uploaded a lot more useful information such as market reports, profiles and regional updates.
However, do please bear with us as the site develops and we continue to bolster the sections with yet more drinks-related comment and statistics – and do please give us your feedback on what you do and don’t like about our revised website in the comment box below.
I generally like the look of the site which fits nicely with the magazine style. I am immediately annoyed, however, by the unnecessary division of the content into short pages requiring the user to click 3 or 4 times to read a single article (without even offering an easy to click, large “NEXT” button). It may look good on the stat counter, but it does get very annoying for the users. Is there a good reason for this?
Thanks for the feedback Rob. We’re trying different presentation methods, some work better than others, and some are still in development! A big next button is definitely on the way.
Agree with Rob completely. You MUST have a single page view option – p1, p2, p3 (with next button if you like), AND, ‘view on single page’ button. And at the top, so you don’t scroll down only to have to scroll back up again, even if it is only a short distance.
Thanks Sally! Yup, pagination is a tricky one. Some of our larger features go on and on, particularly with our new bigger images, so we felt the need for page breaks. We’ll look at your idea for ‘view on single page’. And definitely bring the page listings up to the top too.

Thanks Dinesh. That has been corrected.
