First year applications for MW course now open
Applications to join the first year of the Institute of Masters of Wine (IMW) programme are now being accepted.
In preparing candidates for their Master of Wine (MW) exams, the course covers seminars, course days and mentoring by current MWs. Two years of study are required before sitting the final examinations.
There are only 289 MWs in the world today, based in 23 different countries. Currently there are 250 students from 28 countries enrolled in the IMW programme.
Lynne Sherriff MW, chairman of the IMW, said: “Over the past year we have held masterclasses in Europe, Asia, Australia and North America to introduce the programme to wine professionals.
“As ever, the level of interest has been very high and we now look forward to receiving applications from those who feel they are ready to embark upon their studies in pursuit of the Master of Wine.â€
