Laurent-Perrier joins Taste celebration
Champagne Laurent-Perrier returns as official Champagne of this month’s Taste of London festival, where the house will host a series of exclusive masterclasses.
These will be entitled the “Laurent-Perrier Masterclass La Dégustation” and the “Grand Siècle Masterclass L’Art de Reçevoir”. Guests will be guided through the Champagnes by Radio 2 presenter Nigel Barden, covering styles including the Cuvée Rosé, Vintage 2002, Ultra Brut and Grand Siècle.
Each wine will be presented with a canapé inspired by the gastronomy of the Champagne region. The Ultra Brut will be paired with a parmesan tuile and Parma ham, while the Grand Siècle will be matched with truffle and parmesan cannelles.
In its partnership with Taste of London, Laurent-Perrier aims to raise the profile of its range within the restaurant sector, an important focus for the house. Daniel Brennan, head of marketing for Laurent-Perrier, added: “We hope the masterclass will drive footfall and incentivise purchases of Laurent-Perrier during the key summer season.”
A ticket for the Laurent-Perrier Masterclass La Degustation costs £75 (£85 on the door), while the Grand Siècle Masterclass L’Art de Reçevoir costs £85, with no tickets available on the door.
The ticket price includes entry into Taste of London, unlimited access to the VIP Lounge, a complimentary glass of Laurent-Perrier Brut, £20 worth of Crowns (the Taste of London currency), a copy of the Taste Recipe Book and Tatler Restaurant Guide 2011 and priority seating in the festival’s Taste Theatres.
