Hi-tec hotel hits London
Ecclestone Square Hotel promises to become “London’s most hi-tec hotel” when it opens in Belgravia on 11 July.
Each of the 40 rooms will offer 3D LED TVs and HD Movie, 3D Blu Ray, VoIP phones, free WiFi, smart glass bathroom walls and electronically adjustable beds complete with a massage function. TVs have also been incorporated into the bathrooms’ heated, steam proof mirrors.
Meanwhile ICE Touch software installed on an iPad 2 will allow guests access to local information, temperature and lighting control, as well as room service, hotel spa appointments, Boris bike access and personal training sessions.
The hotel restaurant, Bistrot on the Square, will serve modern European cuisine while featuring phone and laptop charging units by each seat. Its business meeting room will offer a large 3D Media Wall and video conferencing facilities.
