Bacardi Bats take flight
The Bacardi Bats will be unleashed next month as the rum brand hosts a series of on-trade events as part of its 2011 Bacardi Together campaign. In a bid to “break down the barriers for enjoyment”, the Bacardi Bats will tour the UK from 4 June, visiting over 16 cities from Glasgow to Manchester, London, Birmingham and Cardiff.
Over 300 events at selected on-trade venues, as well as events such as Lovebox, The Big Chill and Rockness, will see the Bacardi Bats move in with their own pop up bar, glassware, sharing vessels, extra staff, posters and gifts.
The events will be publicised via radio, outdoor and online advertising, which will direct consumers to register on the brand’s Facebook page.
These pre-registered guests will receive VIP treatment, enjoying queue jumping, cloakroom services, exclusive seating, prizes and cocktail table service.
Catherine Archer, Bacardi’s director of marketing for rum, said: “Our insights have shown that consumers face a number of barriers which prevent great nights out, and the Bacardi Get Togethers will help make social occasions even better by removing the usual barriers to enjoyment like queuing, and creating an environment where friends can make the most of their night out.”
