Romanian wine in Co-op
The Wolfhouse brand from Romanian winery Recas is to be distributed in the Co-operative in partnership with Copestick Murray.
Produced in the western region of Banat, the range – a Chardonnay, a Cabernet Sauvignon and a rosé – will be in stores from the end of March for a limited period.
Ed Robinson, Co-operative wine buyer, said: “We are always looking for good commercial propositions that appeal to the UK consumer.
“The wines from Recas matched our criteria, fruit led, clean and priced accordingly for the market.
“Romania winemaking is bouncing back and the country has a lot of potential for the future”.
