Makers Mark launches skyline gift packs
Beam Global Spirits & Wine has launched a range of city-specific gift packs for Kentucky bourbon Maker’s Mark in a bid to increase the brand’s global recognition.
Each of the 12 "The Mark Of…" limited edition packs, distributed via Maxxium Travel Retail, features a different city, including six European cities – London, Paris, Amsterdam, Moscow, Madrid and Barcelona, and six across the US: Manhattan, Washington DC, Miami, LA, Chicago and San Francisco.
The packs, available exclusively in the 12 cities’ airports throughout 2011, show a skyline of each city, with the Maker’s Mark bottle dotted throughout.
“This launch is part of the international expansion of the brand outside North America. Travel retail is an important channel as it is a showcase arena and the conduit between key domestic markets," said Beam Global director for European travel retail, Gareth Brown.
Maker’s Mark is the oldest operating whisky distillery in the United States.
