ASC opens Wine Gallery in Beijing
ASC Fine Wines opened a new three-storey private members wine showcase on 29 December in Beijing’s Swire Village in Sanlitun. The venue, called The Wine Gallery, contains a cellar, tasting room, VIP area as well as terrace, and has been designed primarily for corporate events and wine education.
It follows a similar operation from ASC Fine Wines in Shanghai called The Wine Residence, which is also focused on cellaring and education, hosting members-only events such as vertical tastings.
ASC explained that the Beijing operation, like that in Shanghai, has “wine lockers with ideal storage conditions to store collections or share fine wines with friends or business associates.”
The company, which is China’s largest importer and distributor of fine wines, also said that members of the new Wine Gallery will be invited to exclusive events, such as wine auctions, en primeur and back-vintage tastings.
Meanwhile, ASC announced its appointment as the exclusive agent for Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) in China from the start of this year. It will carry its entire portfolio, spanning DBR wineries in Chile, Argentina, and the Languedoc, as well as Bordeaux.
