Price comparison site opens for Christmas
Consumers are being tempted with savings on wine of “up to 50%” this Christmas with the launch of mySupermarket Wine, an online comparison site for wine and spirits launched by mySupermarket.
MySupermarket Wine – “the UK’s first online comparison site for wine and spirits” – will enable consumers to shop and compare wines from Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s, Ocado, Majestic and Virgin Wines.
Johnny Steel, spokesperson for mySupermarket, said: “We’re leading the way for shoppers through this new innovation. Brits can make sure they get the best deal on their alcohol this Christmas at the end of yet another especially difficult year.”
Steel also confirmed: “We’re planning to add more specialist retailers from other categories to the site too, to help shoppers cut their weekly bill even further.”
Research conducted by mySupermarket revealed that the cost of alcohol is up 13% in the last three years, especially for rosés and spirits, the prices of which have increased 18% and 16% respectively, according to the grocery shopping and comparison website.

That’s a joke, right?
The Wine Blokes http://thewineblokes.com/uk-wine-shop/ have been providing UK wine comparison online since 2007.
This is ridiculous. There have been a number of wine comparison services online for a number of years. Am I right?
