Bar 92 tempts West End shoppers
Bar 92 is the latest addition to London’s West End cocktail scene. Located in a cosy basement on Wigmore Street, the venue has been designed as a haven from the central London crowds.
Head barmen Omkar Kalaskar and Thomas Kovacs have developed a cocktail list based around classics with a twist, such as their Blueberry Margarita and Maple Manhattan.
The bar’s two signature cocktails are the Ninety Two – a mix of Tequila, Galliano, Passoa passion fruit liqueur, passionfruit purée and cranberry juice, topped off with Champagne – and Eternal, a mix of gin, peach, lime and kiwi.
Aside from its main cocktail focus, Bar 92 offers a selection of wines, including an exclusive listing of Passion House Red Lips, a Cabernet Sauvignon/Shiraz blend from South Australian winemakers Some Young Punks.
The food menu features bar snacks designed for sharing in the form of cheese and meat platters or mezze.
To complete its image as a relaxing refuge for shoppers worn out by the bustle of Oxford Street, the bar offers table service and private booths.
Bar 92 is open Monday to Saturday from 5pm until midnight.
