Port Bursary launches today
Mentzendorff launches the 2010 Port Bursary today at the Royal Automobile Club in London.
Sommeliers and on-trade buyers from in and around the London area are invited to attend a tutored Port tasting from 4pm-6pm.
Presented by Chris Forbes of The Fladgate Partnership, which sponsors the Bursary, the event offers the chance to learn more about the production of Port and how it should be served in restaurants.
Following the tasting, guests will be invited to fill out a questionnaire, with the chance for six people to win an all expenses paid trip to Portugal, visiting Taylor’s, Croft and Fonseca in the Douro Valley next September.
The Port Bursary was originally founded 20 years ago by the late Bruce Guimaraens of Fonseca and is awarded every two years.
