Fresh look for Budgens and Londis
Budgens and Londis have refreshed their own brand French and Italian wine labels in the run-up to Christmas.
The new look for some of the countries’ best known regions will be phased in over the coming weeks.
Willie Hamilton, Budgens and Londis’ trading director, said: “We are capitalising on the opportunity to further grow our wine sales since the current economic conditions favour the off-trade as consumers look for a cheaper alternative to going out to drink.”
As consumers regularly choose wine by country, the labels will have a number of themes to help them identify the bottle they want.
The rear labels will also hold more information on the style and taste, as well as serving suggestions.
The French range includes two Vin de France wines, three Vin de Pays d’Oc, Muscadet, Bordeax, Beaujolais, Côtes du Rhône, Fitou, Corbières and Rosé d’Anjou.
In the Italian selection, Valpolicella, Soave, Pinot Grigio and Merlot delle Venezie, Frascati and Chianti will all benefit from the makeover.
Both the Budgens and Londis fascia groups are part of the Musgrave Group.
