French Connection launches consumer site
Designed to “demystify” French wines for consumers, wine brand French Connection has launched a website for the public.
The site will feature video blogs and sessions on how to taste wine in a “no-nonsense” fashion.
Frenchconnectionwines.co.uk was launched on 1 October by the brand’s owners, importer Bottle Green, “to help overcome the confusion often associated with Old World wine and for this reason the content is written in a deliberate no-nonsense tone.”
The website will feature items such as Grape Buster, Wine Selector and The Tasting Room, the latter of which will introduce French Connection’s winemaker, Nick Butler, to the brand’s customers.
Speaking about the initiative, Bottle Green’s marketing director, Richard Hitchcock, said: “The time is now right to launch a website that takes this engagement to a new level and allows beleaguered French consumers to get involved on a straightforward new platform that tells it as it is.”
Last week Bottle Green announced that French Connection and Andrew Peace signed a six-figure sponsorship deal with Discovery Network Kitchen.
