Giraffe opens in Aberdeen
Restaurant group Giraffe has brought its array of world cuisines to Aberdeen with the opening of a new venue.
The restaurant, which bills itself as the ideal venue for breakfast, lunch or supper, is located in the Union Square shopping centre and is the chain’s first branch in Scotland.
The interior, designed by Wells Mackereth, mixes natural earthy colours with brighter ones alongside murals and graphics such as Giraffe’s catch-phrase, “Love, Eat, Live”.
Giraffe also provides coffee sourced from two carefully selected, family-run farms in Brazil and Guatemala that allow customers to give something back to the people in those countries.
In Brazil the money goes towards weekly food baskets for the workers and in Guatemala coffee sales help build homes for workers and develop sustainable farming methods.
Giraffe also offers a selection of classic cocktails and 18 wines, all of which are available by the glass.
