Champagne Jacquart sets its sights on UK on-trade

UK Wine importer Enotria will this week take over as the exclusive UK agent for Champagne Jacquart.

Jacquart has made a name for itself in UK trade circles not just through its wines but also via the “Rising Stars” competition run in conjunction with the drinks business, bringing together top young chefs and sommeliers.

The Jacquart Champagne empire, which is single-handedly responsible for 8% of all Champagne production, has now set its sights on the UK on-trade, hoping to strengthen its premium positioning.

Laurent Reinteau, managing director of Champagne Jacquart commented: “We believe that Enotria is the perfect partner to achieve our ambitions.”

Alison Levett, Enotria CEO, added: “We’re very pleased to be strengthening our range with Champagne Jacquart. It is a brand with great potential, which offers wines of real value without any compromise on quality.

“As we start to see some recovery in the Champagne category, we are convinced that Jacquart will add a new dimension to our very strong Champagne offering.

“We see a great opportunity to build Jacquart in the on-trade and develop their successful growth in all channels of the UK market.”

Enotria will begin its role as sole UK agent for Jacquart on Friday, 1 October.
