Barry Dick quits Sainsburys
Winemaker Barry Dick is leaving Sainsbury’s in October after five years at the multiple grocer.
Dick, one of the supermarket’s two in-house winemakers, will leave on 13 October to take up a new position at Australian Vintage.
Over the last five years Dick contributed to the improvement of the supermarket’s own-brand “Taste the Difference” range as well as working towards his MW.
Justin James, category manager for beers, wines and spirits at the supermarket, said: “It is always sad to lose someone in the team, but things change. Barry has been a valued member of the team for a number of years and we wish him well in his new role.
“We will of course be recruiting a replacement and will make an announcement in due course.”
