Funkin hires personal trainer
Bartender Will Boucher-Giles has been recruited by Funkin to train up its on-trade customers as the brand expands into the high street club and bar markets.
Boucher-Giles’s role will see him sharing new recipe ideas and mixing tips to help venues make the most of the 24-strong 100% fruit purée range.
His focus will be directed primarily towards ensuring a perfect serve and educating bar staff in venues which are new to cocktails or expanding their menus.
The brand then plans to follow up this training with a programme of mystery shopper activity.
Funkin CEO Andrew King said: “With some significant increases in distribution, we recognised the need for a full time trainer to help raise standards and support our customers."
Remarking on a “great response” from customers already, King added: “Will has been inundated with requests to visit bars, attend area meetings and run sampling sessions.”
Founded 10 years ago, Funkin has already established itself behind the bar of high end venues including Sketch, Bunglow 8, Harvey Nichols and Shoreditch House.
