Antunes opens for business
Joel Antunes celebrated his return to the UK this week with the launch of Brasserie Joel, in the recently opened Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London hotel.
A 30-year career has seen Antunes work in the some of the world’s top kitchens, including Troisgros in France, Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons in the UK, Kiyomi Mikuni restaurant in Tokyo and the Oak Room at The Plaza in New York.
The Brasserie Joel menu promises classic bistro dishes which draw on some of the influences Antunes has picked up from around the world.
Expect French-inspired dishes such as steak tartar, oxtail tortellini and homemade pork terrine, complemented by a broad wine list spanning both the Old and New World, with a dozen wines available by the glass.
The restaurant is open in the evenings only and heads the hotel’s other dining options, Ichi Sushi and Sashimi Bar, a branch of the Espressamente Illy coffee bar and, for cocktails, Primo Bar.
