Laurent-Perrier gold at Chelsea Flower Show
Champagne Laurent-Perrier has been awarded a gold medal for its garden at the 2010 Royal Horticultural Society’s Chelsea Flower Show in London.
The Champagne house’s garden, which was designed by Tom Stuart Smith, was based on the theme of romance and elegance in order to reflect its famous rosé cuvée.
Speaking of the coveted award, managing director of Laurent-Perrier UK, David Hesketh MW, said: “We’re thrilled to have won gold at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in our twelfth year at the show. Tom is a true inspiration, and there’s no doubt that he understands the spirit of Laurent-Perrier, which is reflected perfectly in this year’s Show Garden.
"The gold medal awarded today is testimony to this special relationship and all the hard work that has gone into creating the garden," he added.
Laurent-Perrier is the official Champagne of the 2010 show, while its rosé cuvée is the Champagne of the 2010 Chelsea Garden.
Laurent-Perrier is also the official Champagne of food and drink extravaganza Taste of London next month, during which time it will feature a masterclass in association with Daylesford Organic, hosted by BBC Radio 2 food and drink expert Nigel Barden.
