db announces inaugural Fine Wine Fair
the drinks business will announce its first-ever consumer event at this year’s London International Wine Fair.
The Fine Wine Fair, which will take place in October, is the first event of its kind to hone consumers’ understanding that drinking, enjoying and learning about wine should be focussed on a wine’s quality rather than price.
On 15-17 October 2010 at Chelsea Old Town Hall, the fair will showcase 30 top international wineries, wine companies and generics, allowing visitors to taste and buy hundreds of quality wines costing in the region of £10 upwards per bottle in a lively, informal setting.
Representation from Chile, Spain, Australia, France and New Zealand is already confirmed, with more being signed up by the day.
Among the exhibitors confirmed so far, all of which show terrific value and diversity, are:
• Mont Tauch, a leading cooperative from Tuchan in Languedoc, Southern France, which has developed a world famous reputation for producing high quality Fitou and Corbières.
• Marqués de Càceres, a family-run Spanish wine brand, exporting to over 120 countries across the globe, which this year celebrated its 40th anniversary.
• Little Beauty, an independent vineyard in the unique and elemental Waihopai Valley, Marlborough, New Zealand, which will showcase a limited edition and boutique range of wines from five single vineyard varietal expressions.
• Errazuriz, a family-run estate established in 1879, situated the Valle de Aconcagua, 100 km north of the Chilean capital city, Santiago.
Anthony Hawser, chairman of the drinks business’ owner Union Press Limited, said: “A relaxed, un-stuffy and intimate atmosphere will really set our fair apart from other wine events. It’s going to be a blast.”
