Skalli sails the seas

Skalli has signed a deal with Cunard Line which will see the producer’s top wines served on board two of the world’s most prestigious ocean liners.

As the largest steamers ever built, the Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria feature a combined total of over 20 restaurants and bars.

Family-owned producer Skalli is supplying Cunard with eight wines from its portfolio, including Corsican label Clos Poggiale, Languedoc estate Domaine de Silène, Rhône brand Caves Saint Pierre and Californian wines from St Supéry in the Napa Valley.

Robert Skalli, president of Skalli, commented on the new partnership saying: “We’ve spent the last 90 years pushing the boundaries to produce the best possible quality wines in the South of France and in the Napa Valley.

“Our continual pursuit of perfection matches perfectly the philosophy of Cunard Line and the outstanding services they offer their on board guests.”

Cunard operates luxury round the world voyages, with stop offs in over 40 different countries, and is the only company still sailing a regular trans-Atlantic route between the US and Europe.
