Shoreditch bar inspired by cockney culture
A melting pot of East London culture provides the inspiration for Apples & Pears, one of the latest and more eclectic additions to the Shoreditch bar scene.
Pearly Kings, Jack the Ripper, the Kray twins and the Old Truman Brewery are all name checked on the drinks menu which also includes wines and Champagne from Christian Audigier.
Following a soft launch at the end of last year, the cocktail bar is now tempting drinkers to enjoy the early summer sunshine in its walled garden. After dark, the two levels inside the 160-seat venue include an underground dance floor hosting a weekly programme of live music sets.
The Apples & Pears team has been selected as much for music passion as for cocktail skills, with staff encouraged to inject their own creativity and personality into the atmospheric mix.
The venue’s stylish interiors come courtesy of Japanese designer Jun Ogu, creative director of JYS Management.
