Maison Jacquart and Gonzalez Byass seal deal

Champagne house Jacquart has a new UK distributor, following the demise of its previous distributor, Paragon Vintners.

Described as the “perfect fit” with González Byass’ portfolio, the partnership starts today, 1 April.

González Byass UK has always had a desire to add Champagne to its list and commenting on the partnership, managing director of González Byass UK, Martin Skelton, said: “This is fantastic news. We have been very successful at developing our own premium wine and Sherry business in recent years, as well as building a portfolio of high quality agency brands including Quinta do Noval and Jackson Estate.

“Maison Jacquart is a perfect fit for our portfolio, representing great quality from a highly successful house, which benefits from vineyards across some of the best terroirs in Champagne. We are looking forward to taking the brand to new heights in the UK market.”
