Opus One supports IMW
Opus One has agreed to host the annual Institute of Masters of Wine exams for this year’s North American candidates.
The Napa Valley estate, founded in 1979 by Baron Philippe de Rothschild and the late Robert Mondavi, will also stage a reception for the MW students at the end of their four day exams.
Siobhan Turner, executive director of the Institute, said: “Opus One’s support will provide first class facilities for our annual examination in North America and is an important development in our evolving relationship with the wine industry.”
David Pearson, CEO of Opus One, added: “It’s a great pleasure to support the Institute of Masters of Wine and contribute to the kind of international partnership upon which Opus One was founded.
"We salute the Institute’s ability to renew itself by attracting remarkable new talent and by holding a keen vision of stewardship across the world of wine”.
The 2010 MW exams take place from 1-4 June in three locations: California, London and Sydney.
