Cocktail bar gets TV treatment
A St Albans cocktail bar will feature in the first episode of new British TV series The Business Inspector. Mokoko Cocktail Bar will be thrust into the limelight tomorrow night at 8pm when the programme airs on Five.
Award-winning entrepreneur Hilary Devey presents the four-part series, which is sponsored by HM Revenue & Customs in a bid to raise awareness among small businesses of the need to keep good records.
Offering a taste of tomorrow night’s opening episode, Jass Patel from the Mokoko Cocktail Bar said: “Hilary is a tough cookie but really knows her stuff.
"Thanks to her we have now got renewed energy and clear direction for our business. Her advice on marketing and record keeping was invaluable."
Stephen Banyard, business customer unit director at HMRC, explained some of the areas which the show aims to highlight: “Keeping good records makes good business sense as it gives small businesses the information they need to manage their business and help it grow. It also makes filling tax returns easier and helps SMEs pay the right amount of tax.”
Wednesday nights in just got a lot more exciting.
